Suppliertr Industrial Profile Cutting Machine Procurement Project

Kayseri, Türkiye 2024 Public Sector – Defence Aviation Maintenance Facility 251

Industrial Profile Cutting Machine Procurement Project

Project Summary

SupplierTR completed the procurement and delivery process for an industrial profile cutting machine required by the 2nd Air Maintenance Factory Directorate, a technical maintenance facility operating under the Turkish Ministry of National Defence.

The procurement covered one profile cutting machine intended to support profile-processing, fabrication and maintenance operations within the facility.

SupplierTR’s responsibilities included public tender analysis, technical documentation review, equipment and cutting-tool compatibility assessment, manufacturer coordination, commercial tender preparation, delivery planning, technical documentation management and preparation for the official inspection and acceptance process.

The tender was held on 16 July 2024. Following the award decision, the contract was signed on 24 July 2024. Although the contractual delivery period allowed up to 45 calendar days, the equipment was delivered to the designated facility warehouse on 8 August 2024, approximately 15 days after contract signing.

The official inspection and acceptance procedure was scheduled for 13 August 2024 by the Inspection and Acceptance Commission of the 2nd Air Maintenance Factory Directorate.

Project Challenges

The principal challenge was ensuring that the proposed machine was suitable not only for general profile cutting but also for the operational requirements of a defence aviation maintenance facility.

Profile cutting performance depends on the combined compatibility of the machine, cutting speed, blade diameter, blade thickness, bore diameter, tooth geometry, tooth count and the material being processed. For this reason, the equipment could not be evaluated independently from its cutting-tool configuration.

The technical assessment therefore considered different circular saw blade categories used for:

Metal hollow-section and profile cutting

Aluminium profile cutting

PVC profile cutting

Dry-cut metal applications

Sandwich-panel processing

Special profile-processing operations

Another important part of the project was the delivery and acceptance schedule. The tender documentation allowed a delivery period of up to 45 calendar days following contract signature. SupplierTR coordinated the commercial and logistics process so that the equipment was delivered approximately 15 days after the contract date.

The public-sector acceptance procedure also required the contractor to prepare the personnel, tools, measuring instruments and other supporting equipment necessary for the inspection unless otherwise stated in the procurement documents.

SupplierTR coordinated these requirements in preparation for the official inspection and acceptance process.

Public Procurement Execution

The procurement was conducted by the 2nd Air Maintenance Factory Directorate under the applicable direct-procurement framework of Turkish public procurement legislation.

SupplierTR managed the tender participation and subsequent supply process through AKPAYA Teknoloji Makine Hırdavat Bilgisayar İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi.

The process included:

Reviewing the procurement announcement and tender documents

Preparing the commercial and administrative submission

Coordinating the proposed equipment and technical documentation

Managing the contractual delivery schedule

Delivering the machine to the designated military facility

Preparing for the official inspection and acceptance procedure

Core Capabilities Delivered

Engineering-Supported Industrial Supply

SupplierTR evaluated the machine together with its cutting application, compatible tooling and operational requirements, helping reduce the risk of supplying equipment that would not be suitable for the intended profile-processing operations.

Public Tender Execution

The project was completed within a formal public-sector procurement framework, covering tender preparation, contract execution, documentation management, delivery and acceptance coordination.

Machine and Cutting-Tool Compatibility

The profile cutting machine and circular saw blade requirements were assessed as an integrated cutting system rather than as unrelated products.

Delivery Management

Despite the contractual allowance of 45 calendar days, SupplierTR coordinated delivery approximately 15 days after contract signing.

Inspection and Acceptance Preparation

The required personnel, tools, measuring equipment and supporting resources were coordinated in preparation for the contracting authority’s official inspection and acceptance procedure.

Why SupplierTR

SupplierTR is a direct industrial machinery and equipment supplier capable of supplying a single machine, an integrated production line or a complete industrial facility.

For technically detailed public-sector and industrial procurement projects, SupplierTR brings together:

Technical specification analysis

Correct machine identification

Equipment and tooling compatibility assessment

Manufacturer and product qualification

Commercial tender execution

Contract and documentation management

Delivery and logistics coordination

Inspection preparation

Official acceptance process support

After-sales and spare-parts planning

This integrated supply model helps public institutions, maintenance facilities, manufacturers and industrial buyers reduce technical mismatch risk and procure equipment aligned with their actual operational requirements.

Project Outcome

SupplierTR successfully coordinated the procurement and delivery of one industrial profile cutting machine for the 2nd Air Maintenance Factory Directorate in Kayseri, Türkiye.

The contract was signed on 24 July 2024, and the equipment was delivered to the designated facility on 8 August 2024—approximately 15 days after contract signing and significantly earlier than the contractual 45-day delivery deadline.

The official inspection and acceptance process was scheduled for 13 August 2024.

The project demonstrated SupplierTR’s ability to manage a compliance-focused machinery procurement process for a defence aviation maintenance facility, including tender analysis, machine and cutting-tool compatibility assessment, documentation management, accelerated delivery and official acceptance preparation.
